The scales are tipping in favour of Renewable Energy in Australia, and that is great news for the energy storage sector. In its fifth year, the Australian Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition (AES) continues to adapt to industry opportunities and in striving to do just that, we are pleased to announce that AES 2018 will re-locate to Adelaide, with the Government of South Australia, Adelaide Convention Bureau, and Adelaide Convention Centre joining as principal partners.
With multiple utility scale energy storage installations underway, two utility run virtual power plants, a $5,000 small scale energy storage rebate, feasibility studies for coastal pumped hydro and the recently announced hydrogen refuelling tender, South Australia is truly the hub of energy storage in Australia.
The move to Adelaide ensures visitors and exhibitors are positioned to capitalise on the opportunities available in this state. The redeveloped AES 2018 will see new comprehensive workshops, “Ask the Expert” industry session, an expanded social program and a new look exhibition floor. Selected commercial and utility energy storage companies around Adelaide will provide site tours, allowing conference delegates an in depth look at technology and use of installation.
We hope you join us in Adelaide to work towards a clean energy future.
